TikToker Briana Archuleta posted a video of a frankenfood creation that her husband (who I verified is not David Archuleta) made, and it's truly a work of art.
The pancake spaghetti is just ordinary pancake batter, poured on the griddle in strips.
For my experiment, I used a Ziploc bag to pour the batter, but I think a condiment bottle would make it more consistent. However, I don't own one, and I wasn't about to spend money on this experiment.
Because of the inconsistency in the size of my pancake strips, or noodles if you will, I was afraid they would be a mix of burnt and uncooked, but they actually turned out to be a good texture.
The flavor was exactly that of a pancake, covered with maple syrup and a dash of powdered sugar (which reminds me, I could have been putting powdered sugar on my pancakes all this time.)
It definitely gets points for novelty, because it was fun to twirl my pancakes on a fork, and it gave me serious Buddy the Elf vibes.

When I gave my husband permission to be a food critic, a role he normally does regardless of permission, he told me he thought the pancake spaghetti was, and I quote, "good."
I later asked my 3-year-old to tell me her thoughts on the novelty breakfast item, and after first refusing to eat the foreign-looking breakfast, she took one bite and said, "it's good."

Both of them proceeded to eat a stack of the regular pancakes I made, and when given the choice between having one more pancake or more "spaghetti," the regular pancakes won out without a second thought in the 3-year-old test. And I then had to cut the regular pancake into smaller bites, which seemed remarkably similar to the strips of pancake spaghetti.

All in all, I'd say stick with the much less labor-intensive version, the pancake, or if you're feeling fancy, the deep-fried version, the funnel cake. But if you do need a menu item to bring to an Elf-themed Christmas party, this really is the perfect food.
