Hillary Leonard and Mallory Delaney are identical twins who both work at UPMC Williamsport. Mallory Delaney was able to be there for her sister, Hillary, as she delivered her own set of identical twin girls, Ryleigh and Raegan Leonard in April.

The new mom told WNEP,

"It was definitely heartwarming knowing that I grew up as an identical twin, and now my children will be able to experience the same thing. It is a feeling like no other."

She said of having her sister, Mallory, there for the delivery,

"She is an L and D (labor and delivery) nurse, but she was there as support for me and my family, and like it will always be a special bond that I hold with her outside of being an identical twin, and it is a special bond she will always hold with my children."

The odds of having identical twins is about 3 in 1,000. And since identical twins are not genetic, the odds of an identical twin giving birth to identical twins are practically nonexistent.

The babies are now almost 6 months old, and Hillary and Mallory both say they are enjoying watching the special bond the babies already have with one another.
