The effort to force unvaccinated Americans into a brand-new permanent underclass continues, most recently with CNN host Don Lemon's efforts to paint non-vaccinated individuals as idiots who should be effectively shut out of American life:

"I think we have to stop coddling people when it comes to … the vaccines, saying ‘Oh you can't shame them. You can't call them stupid.' Yes, they are. The people who aided and abetted Trump are stupid because they believed his big lie," Lemon said, making an unclear comparison between former President Donald Trump and ongoing vaccine hesitancy within some communities. "The people who are not getting vaccines who are believing the lies on the internet instead of science, it's time to start shaming them or leave them behind."

It is pretty weird that so many of the people who claimed for four years that Trump was a divisive, hateful president are now themselves making every effort to spread divisive hate and to essentially dehumanize tens of millions of their fellow Americans.

If you want to get vaccinated, of course, by all means go ahead and do so. But if you're doing it at the angry behest of men like Don Lemon, think about it: Do you really think these people will respect you, and acknowledge your innate human dignity and worth, simply because you got vaccinated? Do you think a little shot in the arm is going to change their opinion of you? Certainly not.
