The Democratic Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, really must look up to President Trump. After the Gulf of America became standardized on all U.S. maps, Pritzker decided he too should rename a body of water.
He proclaimed that Lake Michigan is now Lake Illinois. He also said he's annexing Green Bay.
'I'm here today to make an important announcement,' Gov. Pritzker started. 'The world's finest geographers, experts who study the Earth's natural environment, have concluded a decades-long council and determined that a great lake deserves to be named after a great state. So today, I'm issuing a proclamation declaring that hereinafter, Lake Michigan will be known as Lake Illinois. The proclamation has been forwarded to Google to ensure that the world's maps reflect this momentous change.'

Many leftists thought this was a genius troll, but others were confused.
Meanwhile, some people seemed excited about the prospect of a fight with Michigan and Wisconsin:
To war!
