This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Rep Miller recognized Rep McBride as ‘gentleman' and ‘Mr.' NOT as ‘gentlewoman' and ‘Ms.' McBride is a MAN!!!
No one should change Rep Miller's words!!!

It's true. Rep. Miller (correctly) acknowledged U.S. Rep. McBride as a "gentleman" because he is, in fact, a man.
Just in case there's any dispute, there's on-the-record video and audio of Miller doing it:
The chair recognizes the gentleman from Delaware, Mr. McBride, for five minutes.

Thankfully, whoever's in charge of the record got the word loud and clear; the digest for that day has since been corrected to reflect Miller's actual words:
