Ho-lee cow. What harrowing footage. Did you see how much deep heavy snow that guy was buried under? It was like concrete around him. No doubt about it -- he would have been a goner if not for this hero on skis. He could not move an INCH and oxygen was definitely going to run out.

And the skier BARELY noticed him. He just happened to ski just INCHES past his exposed snowboard.

And it was all caught on helmet cam. Amazing. (Btw, no, there's nothing wrong with the audio, I just edited out the cuss words.)

The hero's name is Francis Zuber and the snowboarder is Ian Steger.

"One of the things that I was thinking about while I was down there was like, wow, like, I'm going to die down here and I'm not going to be able to, you know, tell my fiancee how much I love her," Steger said.

I wish we could have seen him all the way out. My claustrophobia is still at a 10.
