If you live in Maine, you're feeling the pinch of heavy inflation just as much as everyone else in the country.

Unfortunately, if you live in the state of Maine, it's probably going to get even worse for you:

Proposed relief checks from Governor Janet Mills are now sitting at $850.

She wants to increase the money for Maine taxpayers amid high costs.

Friday, she introduced a change to her supplemental budget, which would increase those relief checks from $750 to $850.

They would go to nearly 800,000 taxpayers in the state.

Message to Gov. Janet Mills:

I mean...does Gov. Mills know where inflation comes from?

Does she know it comes from the...you know...

What does she think is gonna happen if you infuse the local economy with several hundred million more dollars when the problem is that the economy already has too many dollars circulating around?

Spend that $850 in good health, Mainers, at least while you can!
