Remember Joy Reid, the hateful racist loon who got fired from MSNBC because she was too crazy even for them?
She recently appeared on BET Talks, where she warned America of the dark, dark world that MAGA wants to usher in.
If you go back before the 20th century, there were no income taxes, there were no regulations on business, you could earn as much money as you want and leave 100% of it to your children with no taxes...
THAT'S the world they want back.
Since the above clip is short and we don't want to take it out of context, Reid made the comments during a segment of the interview where she was talking about the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 (timestamped at 26:30 here).
Project 2025, a collection of policy proposals from the conservative think tank, was maligned by liberals throughout the election season as the master plan to promote white supremacy and fascism.
In the BET interview, Reid shifts from discussing Project 2025 to the idea that conservatives want to see black women in the kitchen as their maids (I am not making that up), and black men as their butlers.
She then transitioned into the clip discussing how conservatives want the world of the 1800s where they were free to earn money without the government taking it all.
To get it back, they need society to change. They need people to be less modern. They need people to want fewer things; people to be satisfied just being workers.
And they don't really believe any of us have natural rights. They believe only the super rich, only the billionaires have real true rights, and everyone else are just workers.
So ... Reid thinks the majority of people who voted for Trump in the last presidential election are idiots who don't realize that fewer taxes and less government interference in their lives is bad ... because they're all being controlled by billionaires?
We are begging Democrats to run on this platform.
