Justin Trudeau tells grocery stores to control skyrocketing prices or he'll "take further action," including "tax measures" 🤡

You guys, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is actually out here blaming inflation on grocery stores.

What's more, he's just threatened to "take further action" if these large grocers can't come up with a plan to lower their prices and "provide real relief" to middle-class Canadians. This man is out of touch with reality.

Watch:

It's not okay that our biggest grocery stores are making record profits while Canadians are struggling to put food on the table. So Minister Champagne will be calling on the heads of large grocers to come to Ottawa with a plan to address the rising cost of food. We expect to hear from them by Thanksgiving on what their plan is to stabilize prices.

And let me be very clear: If their plan doesn't provide real relief for the middle class and people working hard to join it, then we will take further action and we are not ruling anything out, including tax measures."

So, uhh, yeah. Somehow, even though food prices are on the rise, these grocers are supposed to magically change their prices as if it was them who caused the problem in the first place.

Well, Retail Council of Canada had thoughts:

"Rather than casting blame where the experts agree it does not belong, the federal government should look in the mirror," the Retail Council of Canada said in a statement on Thursday.

"The government could take a number of steps to make food more affordable, including temporarily removing the carbon tax from farmers, food processors and distributors and cancelling [the] government's planned plastic packaging targets that could increase costs to grocers by $6bn a year."

Yeah, maybe saving the world from climate change by making everything more expensive to produce isn't really the way to go, Mr. Castro ... Uhh, I mean Trudeau. You probably want to consider this.

But nope, Mr. Commie Canuck is gonna double down on the blame.

You might want to take a look at the words of this fine Canadian right here:

Good luck, Canada. You're gonna need it.
