The Harris campaign raised $1 billion in 100 days and somehow lost the election with $20 million in debt

Kamala didn't need the insult added to the injury after Tuesday's election, but boy howdy, she's getting it:

Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign fell $20 million in debt during the final week of her campaign, according to several sources.

Christopher Cadelago, the California bureau chief for Politico wrote in a post on X that Harris's campaign had 'ended with at least $20 million in debt,' according to two sources familiar with the situation.

Twenty million in debt!

Now, to be sure, it's common for political campaigns to go into debt. Hillary Clinton's failed 2008 presidential bid racked up $25 million in debt and only paid it off in 2013. And the 2012 Obama campaign still had millions of debt left over in 2015.

The difference is arguably in how much the campaign raised. Hillary's 2008 bid racked up about $230 million. In 2012 the Obama campaign raised a little over $700 million.

The Kamala campaign, on the other hand, raised quite a bit more:

Lady raised a billion bucks and blew it all, including $118 million in three weeks.

And it's even crazier when you consider that the campaign raised that $1 billion in just over 100 days. Other campaigns have had months or years to drain their reserves and rack up the debt.

Kamala had one of the biggest campaigns in U.S. history, set all that money on fire, and still lost the election with millions in the red.

So what caused all that cash to up and vanish? Well, Breitbart's Matthew Boyle has some insight:

'[Kamala campaign manager] Jen [O'Malley Dillon] blew through a billion dollars in a few months and it was all Jen's idea to do all the concerts.' โ€” Kamala campaign adviser told me

This source added that O'Malley Dillon did these 'concerts,' like Katy Perry, Lizzo, Eminem, Bruce Springsteen et cetera at the expense of 'prioritizing and spending money on social media and other campaign priorities.'

Ahhh, yes, all those "concerts" that featured aging pop stars limping through awful sets in order to get an awful woman elected:

Quite a way to spend a billion bucks!

The campaign, meanwhile, is reportedly so broke that it's skipping out on some of its payments:

Apparently a group in Georgia had to lay off 100 people because they couldn't pay them. ...

What's more, this Kamala campaign staffer said several people who were working for the Kamala Harris for President campaign are still awaiting several overdue payments they were promised for their work. IE, they didn't pay the staff.

Kamala when her vendors ask her for the money they earned:

In addition to her alleged money-no-object campaign, O'Malley Dillon was reportedly just not fun to work for. A campaign staffer told Breitbart,

People didn't like working with her. Many people on the campaign felt like we lost because Kamala wasn't allowed to run her campaign. They were running Joe Biden's campaign instead of a Kamala campaign. Obnoxious and very much a gate keeper and interfering with the vice president's people who were trying to do their job.

I guess that's how you set $1 billion on fire and lose a campaign.

Sad!
