Van Leeuwen Ice Cream released a limited edition Kraft Mac & Cheese ice cream in 2021 and crashed their website when it sold out in less than an hour. Don't ask me what kind of weirdos are so desperate to buy this stuff because I hope never to meet them.
But the warm welcome the frozen treat received was enough to cause Van Leeuwen to bring the unusual flavor to Walmart stores nationwide.
Yep, it's coming to 3,500 Walmart locations.
The ice cream's flavor is described as "deliciously creamy" (I would hope ice cream is creamy), and also "cheesy."
I hope it gets freezer burn.
In describing the ice cream to Food Network, Van Leeuwen said,
If this reminds you of the ice cream you grew up with, you might be out of your mind. If this reminds you of the comforting bowl of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese you grew up with, you're getting warmer. Because did we make this ice cream with that buttery, sweet iconic cheese? You bet.
Walmart will also be selling several other Van Leeuwen Ice Cream flavors, most of which sound perfectly reasonable, except the pizza-flavored ice cream which ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT EXIST.

Would you try artisanal ice cream flavored with powdered cheese?
I, for one, love ice cream too much to desecrate it like this.
