The Boeing 747 that caught fire was owned by Atlas Air, a cargo airline, so there were no passengers onboard apart from the crew. The plane, which was on its way to Puerto Rico, turned around and landed at Miami safely.

The aircraft is eight years old, Flightradar24 data showed. The 747-8 model is powered by four General Electric GEnx engines, according to Boeing's website.

An Airbus A350 passenger plane operated by Japan Airlines collided with a Coast Guard aircraft in Tokyo, killing five crew members on Jan. 2.

A few days later, a Boeing 737 MAX 9 jet made an emergency landing following a cabin panel blowout, which prompted the FAA to temporarily grounded 171 jets for safety checks.

Oh, come on. It's not like Atlas Air has an ESG report where they talk about their diversity, equity, and inclusion —

Hoo boy.

I can't wait for the media to circle the wagons and tell us that plane accidents aren't that bad and are actually normal for an advanced civilization.
