It's gonna be a long election season for Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert. Y'all remember that time she got kicked out of that Beetlejuice show for that whole groping thing?

Yeah, so does everybody else; and that's pretty much why she's decided to leave Colorado's 3rd Congressional District — a very much purple district where she won a narrow victory in 2022 — and move out east to represent the state's 4th district, which leans more red.

Here's Boebert's announcement:

Today I am announcing my candidacy for the 2024 Republican nomination to represent Colorado's 4th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. It's the right move for me personally, and it's the right decision for those who support our conservative movement.

The right move for someone who is for sure going to lose if she runs in the 3rd district, sorry to say it. They've raised so much money on the Democratic side of that race, I'd be running for the (lack of) hills as well.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., announced Wednesday that she'll be seeking the GOP nomination next year in a neighboring congressional district that's solidly Republican, instead of her district where she eked out a win against a Democratic opponent during the 2022 midterms.

Boebert said she would be running in Colorado's 4th Congressional District, where fellow Republican Rep. Ken Buck previously announced he would not seek re-election. Last year, Boebert won a second term representing the 3rd Congressional District, beating her Democratic opponent by less than 600 votes …

Six other Republicans have already entered the primary race in Buck's district. The 4th Congressional District covers the largely rural eastern side of the state, east of Denver.

Not a good look for Boebert, and we'll see if she can win in the primary.
