Welp.
A Princeton grad involved in several of the prestigious school's organizations, including leading its queer alumni club, was arrested on a child porn possession charge Friday, according to prosecutors.
Roy "Trey" Farmer, 53, was taken into custody after police descended on a condo he owns in Princeton next to the Ivy League's main entrance, NJ.com reported.
He was charged with a count of third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material after prosecutors received a tip that a Mercer County resident uploaded an item depicting child sexual abuse, according to the outlet.
Local media reported that the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office's "Internet Crimes Against Children Unit" received "information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children" regarding the upload.
Farmer "earned master's degrees at both Yale and Harvard" before heading into the telecom industry and then "moving to private equity." He also "owned art festivals that span the globe."
The group's "queer alumni club" underwent a rebranding earlier this year:
Queer Princeton Alumni (QPA) is the new name for the Princeton University alumni affinity group formerly known as the Bisexual, Transgender, Gay and Lesbian Association (BTGALA). The name change is the culmination of an extensive effort to update the affinity group's identity and includes a new mission statement and visual rebranding.
As of this week, Farmer was "being held at the Mercer County Jail pending a detention hearing."
