Libs are now saying minimum wage should not be just $15, it should be $26. I say it should be $100 MILLION-BILLION AN HOUR.

I guess the plan is to just raise it to infinity...

There have been some rumblings in the left-wing think tanks recently. It seems like just yesterday we were witnessing the "Fight For $15" minimum wage policy debate which more than anything has resulted in those automated robot ordering machines in McDonald's. But that was yesterday. Today, the fight for a $26 (per hour) minimum wage is upon us.

The Center for Economic and Policy Research published an article last month from economist Dean Baker, which argued for the $26 minimum wage.

"Think of what the country would look like if the lowest paying jobs, think of dishwashers or custodians, paid $26 an hour," Baker said. "That would mean someone who worked a 2000 hour year would have an annual income of $52,000. This income would put a single mother with two kids at well over twice the poverty level."

Yeah, think of what the country would look like. Namely, money wouldn't be worth anything anymore.

Do you want to live in a country that pays $26 an hour for dishwashing? I certainly don't.

"And, this is just for starting wages," Baker continued. "Presumably workers would see their pay increase above the minimum as they stayed at their job for a number of years and ideally were promoted to better paying positions. If we assume that after 10 or 15 years their pay had risen by 20 percent, then these workers at the bottom of the pay ladder would be getting more than $60,000 a year."

These left-wing knuckleheads are experts at finding new ways to outdo each other with their political non-sense.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) proposed an amendment in February "to take tax deductions away from large, profitable corporations that don't pay workers at least $15 an hour."

Republicans have also proposed their own minimum wage policies, including Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR). In true Republican fashion, their minimum wage numbers and regulations are just a bit less than those of the Democrats.

I think a prerequisite for any politician to propose a new minimum wage policy should be passing an exam on basic economics.
