Locked out! Dem Oregon gov. allows small public schools to reopen but NOT small Christian school

The Daily Wire reports that the Alliance for Defending Freedom (ADF) is taking up a case for the Hermiston Christian School — a small K-12 private, Christian school in Hermiston, Oregon, with an enrollment of just 51 students.

The lawsuit claims that Democrat Governor Kate Brown has allowed small public schools (under 75 on-campus students) in Umatilla County (and other regions) to reopen, but has continued her embargo against the reopening of private/Christian schools with the same qualifying small number of students in the same region.

Did you catch that?! Public schools with under 75 kids can open, but Christian schools with under 75 kids CANNOT!

Turns out they aren't just discriminating because they don't like Christians, but because they are actually afraid of them — or at least, afraid of the quality education they might offer.

The ADF claims the reason for the discrimination is clear:

"The reason for Defendants' discriminatory treatment is clear: on the very same day that Defendants continued their prohibition of in-person instruction for religious schools, a policy advisor and liaison for Governor Brown discussed the potential for a ‘mass exodus' of children from public schools and emphasized that public schools could suffer a reduction in funding if students disenrolled to obtain education elsewhere."

That's right, Gov. Brown, be afraid. Be very afraid!

Now open up those schools!
