Legally change your name to "Subway" and you could win subs for life

The world's largest sandwich chain wants to give away free subs for life to its biggest fan.

But how can you really know someone is your biggest fan?

Last year, they said their biggest fan would be willing to get a foot long tattoo of its "Subway Series" logo across their back.

James Kunz of Fort Collins, Colorado, was selected as the biggest fan of that contest, and he got $50,000 in Subway gift certificates for this:

I'm sure it will be fun explaining that monstrosity in 30 years. Plus if Biden gets four more years, those 50 Gs are going to last like 6 months.

But being marked for life with a 2022 fast food promotion just wasn't enough.

Subway thinks that somewhere out there, a bigger fan of their sandwiches is just waiting to make an even bigger life-altering decision to show their devotion to their favorite sandwich shop.

This year, Subway says their biggest fan should be willing to forever, legally change their first name to "Subway."

In exchange for this sandwich worship, the company will give them the same deal Kunz got: $50,000 in Subway gift certificates, plus the legal fees for changing their name.

I figure, there are two types of people that are going to go for this.

The real Subway addicts who would do anything for one more hit of sliced meat and fresh veggies.

And the people looking for any excuse to change their name, like this Brazilian former general director of the Civil Police of Golás:

I guess if your honest-to-goodness fascist father named you Hitler Mussolini to celebrate two of the worst men who have ever lived, well...Subway Domingues Pacheco has a pretty good ring to it.

Good luck to all the Subways out there. Enjoy your sandwiches.
