LOL! The White House Is Still Trying To Brag About Gas Prices Going Down Even Though They Are Still Insanely High Compared To When Trump Was In Office
· Dec 15, 2021 · NottheBee.com

A couple of weeks ago, the Democrats tweeted out a graphic thanking Biden for an incredible 2-cent drop in the price of gasoline. They were, of course, roundly mocked for this.

Since the people obviously weren't impressed with a 2-cent drop, it only makes sense for the White House to wait until real progress was made before bragging again.

So yesterday, the White House decided this was the time to REALLY start bragging on the progress at the pump.

Look at that HUUUUGE decrease in the price of gas!

Over the course of a month, gas prices have gone down a whopping 10 cents!

Just unimaginable savings. It's so hard to believe a president could do so much to help out everyday Americans.

The article that goes with this tweet is also hilarious.

You see, last time the Dems were criticized for not giving context, this time the Biden admin gave GREAT context to show just how impressive these low prices are.

This graph shows a 10-year scale measuring gas prices.

And, basically, what this graph shows is the average price over the last decade and we are right on the average now.

Basically, this is the White House saying, "Sure gas prices are high, much higher than under Trump, but do you remember how much more expensive it was under Obama (and Biden)?"

Again, it's obvious that gas prices are significantly higher than what people are used to paying.

Here's a helpful graph showing the skyrocketing prices since Biden took office. Some of this is out of Biden's control, but he has only himself to blame for shutting down pipelines and drilling on literally his first day in office.

It's all about perspective.

This is deceiving with graphs 101.

If you zoom in really really close, you can make the decrease look substantial. And if you zoom out far enough to include the Obama years, Biden's failures don't look bad by comparison.
