Louis Vuitton’s tribute to Jamaica is a major fail.

Under the direction of Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton released a "Jamaican Stripe Pullover" which featured green, yellow, and red color blocking. The item, which retailed for $1,340 was removed from the site after Twitter user @pam_boy tweeted about one very obvious error:

The product description on the website said the sweater was design was "inspired by the Caribbean island's national flag." Which is great and all except...

The Jamaican flag is green, yellow, and black.

They still couldn't get the product description quite right after silently updating it the second time around.

POPSUGAR's Nikita Charuza notes:

"The issue with this particular sweater is not that it was inspired by a flag or a culture, it's that the original product description allegedly said the sweater was modeled after the Jamaican flag, when in fact it was not. This shows a lack of effort and care by a major brand during a time when inclusivity in fashion should be championed, celebrated, and top of mind."

Even Bob Marley's daughter called out the very obvious mistake:

It's hard to believe that this sweater which is designed, touched, and reviewed by many people/teams from concept through development and then onto production could have missed an error this big.

And yet here it is!
