This is the wildest story I've seen in a long time.
There are so many unanswered questions here, I don't know where to begin.
20-year-old Bryce Caleb Timothy Brown has been arrested for first-degree murder after a murderous joyride on a stolen forklift.
Maryland authorities say Brown, who lives in a town 60 miles outside of Baltimore broke, into a Lowe's home improvement store in the middle of the night, at 12:40 AM, and stole a forklift which he then crashed through a gate in order to exit the store.
He allegedly took the forklift for a joyride half a mile up the road to Lowe's rival, Home Depot. In the parking lot, Brown reportedly rammed the vehicle into a parked car where an elderly woman was sleeping.
73-year-old Gloristine Pinkney woke up and ran out of the car. Authorities say Brown then took the forklift and ran her over, killing her immediately.
"Officers who were investigating the initial burglary at Lowe's canvassed the area and observed the forklift in the Home Depot parking lot," said the Charles County Sheriff's Office. "They subsequently discovered the victim underneath of the forklift; she was pronounced deceased on the scene."
Did Brown steal the forklift because he just wanted a joyride? Did he know Pinkney was sleeping in her car? Did he steal the forklift in order to ram her? Did he have murder on his mind from the start or did he get caught up in the thrill of the crime?
Did he do it as some sort of sick joke? Using a Lowe's vehicle in a crime at Home Depot?
My mind is absolutely twisted into a pretzel thanks to this story.
