Maniac on NYC subway stabs man who asked him to turn his music down

New York, New York, the city that never sleeps … because if you do, you might get stabbed.

Over the weekend, the chaos under New York City continued when a Metro-North rider got stabbed on a train rolling into Grand Central.

Here's what happened. A 46-year-old guy named Abdul Malik Little was blasting music on his phone speaker, and when a 31-year-old man asked him to turn it down, Little pulled out a knife and stabbed him twice in the chest.

The victim was thankfully strong enough to get off the train at Grand Central and point out the attacker to police patrolling the platform. Little — who's from Jamaica, Queens — is now facing Attempted Murder, Felony Assault, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon charges, and is being held on $50,000 cash bail.

And this is just the latest violent crime to be committed on a NYC subway system in the last few days. On Christmas Eve, another guy went on a slashing spree at Grand Central. Two days before that, a woman was set on fire and burned to death by an illegal immigrant at the Coney-Island Stillwell Avenue station. And on New Year's Eve, another commuter was pushed onto the subway tracks in Chelsea.

But don't worry: New York City is imposing congestion charges, forcing poor people who can't afford to drive into the city to decide between going to work and maybe getting robbed, stabbed, or burned alive.

Because it's all about saving the environment, folks.
