Mayor of St. Louis doesn't even flinch when gun shots ring out during press conference

Shots fired (literally) during press conference in St. Louis, Missouri and this mayor is so used to it she didn't even flinch.

Mayors of St. Louis and Kansas City were having a joint press conference when you can hear five gun shots fired. Mayor Jones smiles awkwardly, raises her eyebrows, and then continues to speak– as if it was just another day, raining gunfire.

Ironically, they were speaking to reporters after a roundtable discussion about public safety with other community leaders and the Department of Justice in Dutchtown– and what a great real life example, in real time:

"I don't flinch when gunshots ring out; my son and I often fall asleep to a lullaby of gunshots," is what St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones tweeted out.

Sadly, Mayor Jones– who is a Democrat, may I add– is so used to hearing gunshots in her neighborhood that she was able to stay calm, collected, and casually continue her presser.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

And hopefully, part of their roundtable discussion was to bring back police to the streets.

"This is the sort of thing that happens in too many American cities, part of why I'm in St Louis (Friday)," Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said. "This community is working to do better for our babies like the tour we just took, and the neighborhood activist(s) who are saying maybe things have been always for generations, but we are committed to doing better."
