I tell you, whenever you're searching for something, it's always in the last place you look:
On Monday, the U.S. Marshals Service, USMS, arrested Deario Wilkerson, 20, who was suspected of shooting and killing a victim who was found dead on April 2 in Memphis, Tennessee, according to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service.
On May 9, police issued a warrant for Wilkerson's arrest for first-degree murder and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. The case was being investigated by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force, TRVFTF.
Police tracked the suspect to a Memphis residence. They surrounded the home and managed to get inside to do a search, but the alleged killer hid in the attic.
What happened next? Well, as the police so laconically put it:
He fell through the ceiling.
Just fell through!
He really made a big gaping hole in the ceiling when he did it, too:
Thankfully, that was the worst of the damage:
Wilkerson was not injured from the fall and was taken into custody with no further incident.
Hopefully somebody called a drywall contractor for the homeowner too!
