There's so little actual justice happening in the United States today, it just makes it so much sweeter when it actually, you know, happens:
The Philadelphia social media influencer arrested while she livestreamed Tuesday night's looting mayhem fought back tears as she was charged with six felonies.
That feeling when you loot and then gotta fight back tears as the police book you with six heavies:
The woman in question, Dayjia Blackwell, goes by the rather surprising nickname of "Meatball." Now, earlier this week Ms. Meatball could be seen gaily participating in the destructive, awful chaos that laid waste to part of Philadelphia's retail district on Tuesday night:
"Everybody must eat!" Yeah, you know where "everybody must eat?" In prison. (Seriously — they'll force-feed you if you go on a hunger strike.) Anyway, it sure looks like that's where the Meatball is headed:
The young lady, who is now discovering just how "free" a looted iPhone really is, was hit with "burglary, criminal trespassing, conspiracy, criminal mischief, riot with the intent to commit a felony and criminal use of a communication facility." All of them very serious crimes.
Meatball posted her $25,000 bail on Thursday. No word on how long she's facing in prison if convicted.
