Google Maps has found itself at the center of a not-so-massive international incident after Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum threatened the company over changing the Gulf of Mexico for U.S. users.
"If necessary we will file a civil suit," she said. "Our legal area is already looking into what that would mean, but we hope that (Google) reconsiders."
Doing some quick math, the entire GDP of Mexico is around $1.8 trillion, while the market capitalization of Alphabet — the company that owns Google — is $2.3 trillion so ... yeah good luck with that.
Especially since she'd be suing for the US government and US companies to internally name things as they sees fit.
If she's really mad about this, she could always use Mexico's search engine.
Oh wait...
