The Bloomington (MN) Police Department last week asked for help identifying this they/them who keyed a Tesla at a local grocery store.
Fortunately, they found the they/them, but what you'll hear next from Chief Booker T. Hodges will surprise you (unless you're familiar with the politics of the Twin Cities, that is).

Yup, you heard that right, the suspect -- the one who caused $3,200 worth of damage -- is also a "victim" in this situation because of "rhetoric."

This vandal...
...is a victim.

The world we live in, folks!
I'm not sure what he meant by the "rhetoric" of leadership. Is he talking about his mayor, his governor ... or Trump?
He seems like he was keeping it extremely vague on purpose, but he doesn't seem to be a rabid lefty because he believes in freedom and getting along with people who think differently than you.
People should be able to drive whatever care they want without fear of going into the store and someone scratching their car or people yelling at them because of the car that they choose to drive. It's time for all of us, you know, to just start getting along and knock this stuff off, man. People should be able to be left alone.
Could it be that he was telling certain left-wing politicians and media outlets in his own state to stop ramping up the hatred against Tesla that might cause unhinged people to commit crime?
I dunno, but brainwashed or not, these perps aren't "victims," my man!
Still, glad to see he's going to enforce the law to "the fullest extent that we're able to."
