Minnesota Woodshop Bans White People From Nordic Spoon-Carving Class

Oh, hello there: Did you think this was The Babylon Bee?

Nope!

This is an actual story about a woodworking class in NORDIC carving that banned anyone not deemed melanated enough from attending!

From the Fireweed Community Woodshop:

BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students are encouraged to sign up to practice the basics of Spoon Carving! This class is sponsored by Hennepin County Library and is available as a free class for everyone! All students must be 18+ years of age.

Okay, that doesn't seem so bad, does it?

It says "everyone"!

Except this was the description yesterday:

ENHANCE:

THE CLASS IS FOR FOLKS IDENTIFYING AS PEOPLE OF COLOR, please do not register if you are a white-bodied person.

It doesn't even say "people of color" (which is literally the same as saying "colored people" but they added a preposition to make it seem different).

It says "folks IDENTIFYING AS people of color"!!

So this class on Northern European woodcarving was going to exclude everyone who identifies as European in ancestry.

After the understandable backlash, the library changed course – but the damage was done. Once you use full commie language, it's game over.

The Hennepin County Library says that an event posting advertising a Nordic spoon carving class for people of color only was "incorrect."

"The woodcarving event description from Fireweed Community Woodshop was incorrect. We have contacted our programming partners and they have updated the listing to remove the exclusionary language," Daniel Rogan, the assistant county administrator, told Alpha News.

It was only "incorrect" because people actually noticed.

The exclusionary language has now been removed, but the event is still called "BIPOC Spoon Carving."

...

"Excluding participants in a library program based on skin color would be wrong and a violation of contract," he added.

Well, only if you ban literally anyone other than white people!
