Do you think your Minute Maid diet lemonade tastes exceptionally, mind-blowingly, good lately?
That's because there's nothing diet about it.
Coca-Cola has issued a recall on 13,152 cases of 12-pack Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade because they were erroneously labeled as having no sugar.
In reality, those cans are filled with full, sugary goodness.
Coca Cola is voluntarily recalling a small quantity of Minute Maid Lemonade 12 oz cans because they were wrongly covered (secondary package) with a Minute Maid Lemonade Zero Sugar wrapping. Although the primary package (12 oz can) is correctly labeled, the secondary wrapping erroneously states that the product has zero sugar. This lemonade does contain sugar. This mistake could lead to adverse health consequences if the product is consumed by someone who is diligently managing their blood glucose levels.
Obviously, as good as it tastes, this mistake can be hazardous for certain people, such as diabetics, for whom a mix-up like this could be life threatening.
The cans under recall bear the following codes:
FEB1725CNA
FEB1725CNB
Coca-Cola does not recommend using, selling, serving, or distributing the recalled product. Instead, customers should return them to the store of purchase for a refund or replacement.
