Meet Sunny-Loo Hanson, a family pet that defies everything we thought we knew about biology and science, surviving for three weeks without food and water.
It all started when the Hanson family set out to move from Washington to Colorado. The movers showed up and began to wrap up and pack the furniture, and the family's cat, Sunny-Loo, disappeared.
The family looked everywhere for her, but it was no good. They had to head to Colorado without her.
The cat's disappearance was especially hard on 12-year-old Hannah Hanson, as Sunny-Loo is her emotional support animal.
'She's a big support for Hannah with her autism when she has anxiety. This is a cat that spends most nights on somebody's pillow, usually Hannah's pillow when she's feeling sad, sick, or anxious. This kitty is there,' Andy Hanson says about Sunny-Loo.
Then, three weeks later, the moving truck showed up in Colorado with all their stuff.
When the Hanson family started to unwrap their couch, they heard a little meow come from inside. Sunny-Loo was in the couch and miraculously alive.
'Three weeks and 1,050 miles of road. In fact, it's even more than that because she went from Walla Walla to Seattle, down to Eugene, Oregon, and back up to Seattle, and then finally down here,' Andy shared.

The cat was emaciated and unhealthy, but alive. All those lost Goldfish crackers and cookie crumbs must not have served her well.
The family rushed Sunny-Loo to a vet, and the cat was kept in the clinic's ICU for three days under the care of Dr. Erin Dixon, but the feline made a full recovery.
'Medically, I don't have an answer for how this cat survived that ordeal. It's really remarkable. We don't always get an explanation in cases like this, but I agree with the family. She is a miracle cat,' Dr. Dixon said of the pet.
A miracle cat indeed.
