Filling in for Joy Reid Sunday morning, MSDNC -sorry- MSNBC guest host Tiffany Cross said of the Republican National Convention that the number of persons of color represented on stage seemed like a "Modern-Day Minstrel Show."

From Wikipedia:

The minstrel show, or minstrelsy, was an American form of entertainment developed in the early 19th century. Each show consisted of comic skits, variety acts, dancing, and music performances that depicted people specifically of African descent. The shows were performed by mostly white people in make-up or blackface for the purpose of playing the role of black people ... Minstrel shows lampooned black people as dim-witted, lazy, buffoonish, superstitious, and happy-go-lucky.

This racist attack on black conservatives is not the first of its kind, during the first night of the RNC "Uncle Tom" trended on Twitter in response to a speech by Heisman winner Herschel Walker in support of Donald Trump.

Amid the cries of "Orange Man Racist!" the Democrats and the media, but I repeat myself, are letting their true racist flags fly.
