Mace has been inundated with threats after she introduced a resolution to have men banned from congressional women's bathrooms following the election of the first transgender representative.
Transgender activists even stormed Capitol bathrooms to protest Mace's resolution.
Her attacker was a 33-year-old man from Illinois.
