Here's some news that will surely bring salty tears from the Biden camp.
According to a new poll from Equis this month, Latinos say they trust Donald Trump - Mr. Deport and Build the Wall - to handle immigration over Amnesty Joe.
Sorry libs ...
Here are Axios' highlights from the poll:
Zoom in: An Equis poll released Tuesday of 1,592 registered Latino voters in seven battleground states found 41% of Hispanic voters trust Trump on immigration compared to 38% for Biden.
What they're saying: The problem for Democrats and Biden 'is great uncertainty in support' for the president among Latino voters, Carlos Odio, co-founder and senior vice president for research at Equis Labs, told reporters Tuesday.
This is a very interesting and almost even divide among Latino voters. Just three points separate swing state Latinos on the issue of amnesty vs. wall (to oversimplify things), but Trump's immigration stance has the lead.
Remember, these are numbers from seven swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and North Carolina. And in these states, the Hispanic population is starting to poll more and more like the non-Hispanic population on immigration.
The Democrats are so radical on immigration with their "no borders" plan that it's pushing away Hispanic-American citizens. And they have nowhere to go but to the right and into the arms of Trump.
No surprise, working-class Latinos are more likely to favor Trump over Biden by the widest margin. Donald Trump is strengthening his grip on the working class, especially those who see their wages driven down by mass migration and lost jobs overseas.
As for Biden's plans to grant amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens before the election:
What we're watching: Biden's move this week to grant protection to half a million undocumented people with citizen spouses could 'move the needle among Latino voters,' per Odio.
72% of Latinos in the survey who said they do not currently support Biden said they would be more likely to vote for him if he put such a program in place.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
