Gallup: U.S. now has "highest rate of people who are under stress to afford enough food" among G7 countries

After more than three years of Joe Biden as your president, how are you doing?

For many people, the answer is "hungry." From The Daily Mail:

According to a Gallup analysis this month, the U.S. has the highest rate of people who are under stress to afford enough food for themselves and their families compared to other G7 countries, which includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom.

One in four Americans, according to the analysis, say there has been at least once [sic] instance in the last 12 months when they didn't have enough money to purchase food needed.

This adds to publicly available data about the struggle to afford food. In October 2023, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported that 12.8% of Americans said they struggled to afford food in 2022, which was a 2.6% increase from 2021.

We might not fully understand the continuing damage in 2023 and 2024 until several years from now.

Information from the U.S. Department of Agriculture released October 2023 reveals that there were 17 million households who had trouble putting food on the table in 2022.

I can't imagine why, can you?

Don't worry, though, the people in the Biden administration (AKA the adults who are back in charge) have a plan!

In February the administration announced a $1.7 billion package to fund initiatives aimed at ending hunger in the U.S. by 2030.

Ahh, $1.7 billion! That's about 0.02% of Joe Biden's proposed 2024 budget of about $7.3 trillion.

I'm sure a tiny fraction of the federal budget in an economy that's spiraling due to money printing and bad fiscal policies will solve the issue of hunger.

How can we possibly thank them enough??
