Nikole Hannah-Jones, Creator Of The 1619 Project, Tries To Dunk On School Choice Advocates And Fails Beautifully

This may be one of the greatest self-owns in the history of Twitter.

1619 Project author, Nikole Hannah-Jones, went online and completely clowned herself while trying to take a dig at school choice activists.

According to Hannah-Jones, the problem with "school choice" is that it's racist and doesn't allow poor blacks to go to schools in more affluent white schools.

So what's the irony in this "slam dunk" against school choice activists? Well, it's simply that Hannah-Jones just accurately described the entire conservative position on school choice.

In her attempt to paint school choice activists as "racist" and opposed to public schools, the historical fiction writer made the case for the conservative school choice movement.

The biggest school choice advocate and enemy of teachers unions, Corey DeAngelis, took this opportunity to absolutely destroy the credibility of Nikole Hannah-Jones.

And that's just one person's response. There are plenty more conservatives who took it upon themselves to correct Ms. Hannah-Jones' misconception.

Our very own Joel B:

Conservative podcast host Lauren Chen:

The person who Hannah-Jones originally quoted in order to criticize as "racist" and "classist" also responded. And Nikole did not accept the response in the most gracious manner:

Nikole Hannah-Jones not only rejects the correction, she essentially tells the person who is advocating for the same thing she is, "I don't believe you."

Practically no one had anything negative to say about Hannah-Jones' suggestion. Everyone was in total agreement. And she just can't wrap her mind around the fact that her preconceived notions might be wrong.
