Ever wanted to explore the Bermuda triangle without worrying about losing your investment on the trip if your ship should be lost in the Devil's Triangle as so many have?
Well, here's your chance.
Norwegian Cruise Lines has a cruise offering a full refund if your cruise ship should disappear. Their website states:
Don't worry about disappearing on this Bermuda Triangle tour. The tour has a 100% return rate and your money will be refunded in the rare chance you disappear.
Needless to say, this reoccurring cruise attracts a certain type of traveler. Some of the attractions include a twilight Bermuda Triangle cruise on a glass bottom boat and guest speaker Nick Pope, who headed up the UK's Ministry of Defense's UFO desk between 1991 and 1994.
I bet I can guess what he thinks is responsible for ships disappearing in the area.
Of course, there are several theories as to why so many ships disappear in the Bermuda Triangle, from supernatural, inter-dimensional tears to rogue 100-foot waves, but according to Karl Kruszenlnicki, a fellow at Sydney University, it's not much of a mystery at all and is related solely to the amount of traffic that goes through the area.
It is close to the Equator, near a wealthy part of the world โ America - therefore you have a lot of traffic.According to Lloyd's of London and the US Coastguard the number that go missing in the Bermuda Triangle is the same as anywhere in the world on a percentage basis.
I'm sure all the conspiracy tourists taking the cruise will accept that perfectly rational explanation and give up their notions of underwater alien wormholes, and either way, if the ship does disappear, they'll get their money back.
