In a televised moment that will surprise almost none of us, University Medical Center in El Paso, TX, administered what it claimed to be one of the first vaccine injections at its campus.
The problem?
THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE SYRINGE!
Watch as the person administering the vaccine fumbles and tries to play off the fact that the syringe had already been fully depressed and there was nothing in it.
The medical center has responded to the understandable outcry over the incident, saying that it was just a "mistake". There are lots of things wrong with this situation, from the type of syringe being used to the fact that the person administering the shot seems to have no idea how to do this sort of thing, to, well...just read the comments section.
I really don't know how I feel about this, but at the very least it's pretty entertaining to watch. Sign me up for one of these phantom shots, pronto!
