Do as I say, not as I do?

Former President Barack Obama turns 60 on August 4th and is planning a huge 700-PERSON party at his Martha's Vineyard mansion despite all the warnings and guidance surrounding the current Covid surge.

Among the 475 guests are Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Steven Spielberg, and a musical performance from Pearl Jam. A 200-person staff will cater the party.

"Democrats are imposing unscientific mask mandates while contemplating more lockdowns. Meanwhile, President Obama is hosting over 500 elites at his Martha's Vineyard mansion. If you or I did that it would be called a super-spreader event by the Democrats," said Rep. Elise Stefanik, chair of the House Republican Conference.

Axios reports, "the party will be held outdoors and all guests are asked to be vaccinated" and "must submit their negative test results to a COVID-coordinator within a certain time window before the event."

The island's Board of Health issued a "mask advisory for indoor public spaces on the Vineyard, regardless of vaccination status."

Hmm, I wonder what this Board of Health advises for a 700-person event? 🤔

President Joe Biden, who was Obama's former vice president, received an invite, too, but will not be attending. Sadly, we won't have any stories from this of Grandpa Joe havin' a blast at Barry's Birthday Bash.

"While President Biden is unable to attend this weekend, he looks forward to catching up with former President Obama soon and properly welcoming him into the over 60 club," the White House said.

Oh, that's cute. I wonder if the Biden administration has anything to say about this potential "super-spreader event" Obama is hosting. Probably not.
