Obama criticized the phrase "defund the police" and now the Squad is mad at him.

One of the worst parts of 2020 has been the reemergence of Barack Obama in the media. He's crawled out of his multi-million dollar hole to go on a ME-dia tour peddling his 353rd memoir and benevolently disseminating nuggets of wisdom. So far leftists have been eating it up. But now he's said something that's upset the Squad.

Talking to Peter Hamby on Snapchat's "Good Luck America" the former president cautioned activists to be a bit sneakier in their language if they want to actually, you know, accomplish anything.

For one he warned against actually using the word "socialism." Apparently, some people find that word a bit alarming. Offering Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders as examples:

"Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders both agree about raising the minimum wage. Nobody really cares about the label. They care that that is something that is important to a lot of young people and a lot of older people alike,"

In other words, they both advance socialist policies, but one was dumb enough to actually call himself a socialist and the other is the president-elect.

It's hilarious because it's like he's explaining the basics of radical politics to school children, "Listen, guys, The trick to completely dismantling America is to not actually come out and tell everyone that's what you're trying to do."

One piece of advice the Great and Powerful Obama dolled out to Democrat radicals was to stop using the slogan "defund the police."

"If you believe, as I do, that we should be able to reform the criminal justice system so that it's not biased and treats everybody fairly, I guess you can use a snappy slogan like 'Defund The Police,' but, you know, you lost a big audience the minute you say it, which makes it a lot less likely that you're actually going to get the changes you want done."

Instead, he said people should say "let's reform the police department."

Seems reasonable, right? Don't say the quiet part out loud and all that.

Nope. Radicals gonna radical.

Here's Cori Bush who won a seat in Missouri running on the platform of "Defund the police" basically calling Obama a boomer.

The whole "Squad" (🤢) joined in as well:

Tlaib had the tact to only subtweet the President, implying that he was a hypocrite for taking this stance.

And here's the mighty AOC's take:

Ayanna Pressley said something too, but I honestly can never remember which one she is.

When Obama isn't radical enough anymore, you know things are headed in a bad direction.
