"Padawan," a new young-adult novel written by Kiersten White, is supposed to be the story of a young Obi-Wan Kenobi while he trains under his Jedi master Qui-Gon Jin.
But of course these days, you can't possibly have a simple adventure story; there must be a sacrifice to the LGBTQ mob, and this week it's Obi-Wan.
Here's a rundown of the basic plot from the book description:
"On a mysterious planet he encounters a pack of feral, Force-wielding teens who seem to be the planet's only inhabitants. As he experiences wild freedom with them and wonders if this isn't the life he was meant for, Obi-Wan can't escape the nagging sense that something is wrong with the Force there. Romantic complications, startling revelations…"
What romantic complications? What startling revelations?
Try Obi-wan being physically tempted by another boy.
He resists the temptation but mostly because of his Jedi vows, not because he isn't interested.
Middle-age Obi-Wan would have some words for teenage Disney Obi-Wan:
The book is an official part of the Disney canon, so you can expect more mentions of Obi-Wan new orientation in future shows and movies.
What the heck do they do all day over at Disney HQ?
Just dream up new ways to kill their intellectual property?
Nevermind that Lucas-prodigy Dave Filoni already created a powerful and compelling love arc [translation: non-woke] for Obi-Wan in the animated Clone Wars series...
...nope, we need weird, long paragraphs about Obi blushing at the thought of kissing a boy.
Of course, the LGBTQ mob celebrated the revelation.
The book is aimed at young adults, so ages 12 and up, and it's a good reminder that parents need to be vigilant in screening what their kids are reading and watching these days. Even established characters are being transitioned to push the LGBTQ agenda.
Let's not forget what happened to Superman.
Don't let them get to your kids!
