We don't have words to describe the type of scumbag who would do something like this.

From ABC 6:

29-year-old Alexa Stakely [of Columbus, Ohio] was picking up her 6-year-old son from a babysitter, police said. At one point, she placed the sleeping child in the car while it was running and went back to the home to grab something she forgot from the babysitter.

Police said she returned to her car and saw it beginning to back out into the roadway. People heard her screaming for her child.

Stakely got on the hood of the car, trying to get it to stop, and was thrown off when the suspect started driving erratically, police said.

The young mother suffered a "serious head injury" after being thrown from the vehicle; she later died at a local hospital.

Thanks be to God, when the police showed up they found the car still there with the baby unhurt inside; the suspects had fled.

Our very serious police and news professionals only described the suspects as "two males." Apparently they forgot how to include other qualifiers and descriptors for some very strange reason.

Judging from the response to her horrible death, Stakely was a valued and loved member of her community:

The 29-year-old graduated from OSU. She was a speech pathologist for Canal Winchester Schools.

The district's Facebook page remembering her has hundreds of shares. Many commenting how Stakely helped their kids. Most in disbelief she's gone.

She had been at Winchester Trail Elementary for five years.

The district's Facebook page said Stakely "was passionate about children and speech-language therapy," she was "smart and compassionate," and she "cared so much about helping children develop their ability to communicate."

Community members, meanwhile, mourned her death on Facebook:

She poured into all three of my younger boys and is a huge reason for my youngest two having such clear speech today. She will be deeply missed. ...

We are heartbroken. She was the best speecher (as she often referred to herself) we could have asked for our son. She made a profound impact on him. She will be deeply missed. ...

She was a wonderful teacher. My daughter was one of her students. Praying for her family. ...

Also pray they catch the scumbags who killed her.
