Many of us will remember Dr. Deborah Birx as a constant fixture at the White House during the early days of COVID; she was hand-picked by President Donald Trump to be among the federal government's leaders in responding to the pandemic.

As was often the case, Trump's personnel choices left...something to be desired:

"I knew these vaccines were not going to protect against infection and I think we overplayed the vaccines ..."

Oh!

I mean, if Deborah Birx "knew" all along that the vaccines "were not going to protect against infection," why didn't she, you know, say anything when...

• President Joe Biden said they would?
• CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said they would?
• Coronavirus expert Anthony Fauci said they would?

Why have you been quiet this whole time, Deborah??
