These are the people who increasingly think they are the saviors of mankind:

Yes, that's House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – the 3rd most powerful person in America – officiating the wedding of oil heiress Ivy Getty in San Francisco over the weekend.

San Fran Mayor London Breed and the mysteriously-absent-since-getting-the-booster Gov. Gavin Newsom were also in attendance.

I'm sure they were attending as just a few of the common folk.

Since I'm actually one of those rabble-rousing commoners, I'm quite unfamiliar with Ivy Getty or her family, outside the fact that her grandfather was once the richest man in America.

But while I wish the happy couple and their oil money a bright future, I have to wonder why Pelosi, Newsom, and Breed were there. After all, these are the people fighting the hardest to ban cars, increase taxes, "lower your expectations," drive gas prices through the roof, and ensure Americans stay home to save lives and save energy.

Seems a bit hypocritical if you ask me!

Unless, you know, these weird upper-crust politicians don't actually believe what they preach.
