Panama's new president is more concerned about the border than the White House: "The border of the United States, instead of being in Texas, moved to Panama!"

I don't get it. I really don't.

How does PANAMA get a president who cares more about the sovereignty of American borders and the safety of American citizens when America is stuck with Open Borders Joe?

The Panamanian leader, who was elected earlier this week, says that he wants to put an end to the migrant caravans that travel through Panama from South America on their way to the United States.

Panama's newly elected President José Raúl Mulino has pledged to "close" the Darién Gap, a swampy jungle on the border with Colombia that serves as a major passageway for migrants heading north to the United States. Going further, Mulino even suggested the possibility of constructing a wall to curb migration.

If Panama gets a wall to prevent illegal immigration to the United States before Texas gets a wall, I am going to be mad.

I mean, I'll be happy that there's a wall anywhere, but I'll be mad that they beat us to it.

'The border of the United States, instead of being in Texas, moved to Panama,' said Mulino, who previously held the role of Minister of Security under ex-president Ricardo Martinelli. He stressed the urgency of regulating the high influx of migrants and curbing related criminal activities, including robbery and assault.

I don't know anything else about this dude's politics, but if first impressions mean anything, I think I'm in love.

Last year alone, over half a million people, among them 113,000 children, braved the hazardous crossing — a significant rise from 24,000 in 2019. Human Rights Watch reports that migrants and asylum seekers often become victims of sexual violence while crossing the Gap.

He's going to protect the US border and protect kids from human trafficking? I'm sure the lefties HATE this dude!

He's promising to shut down the treacherous Darién Gap, where 500,000 immigrants from all over the world crossed last year. It is a dangerous passage - people drown, fall off cliffs, and get kidnapped by gangs along this route from Columbia into Panama and Central America.

And, of course, these migrations bring crime and theft into Panama as well.

Build your wall Molino! Show the US how it's done!
