Pentagon spokesperson says, “Taylor Swift is not part of a DOD psychological operation. Period.”

A recent poll showed 1 in 5 voters saying they'll vote for the candidate Taylor Swift endorses.

I doubt that the Swifties would still say that if she endorsed Donald Trump, but it does show the outsized influence that T-Swift has on the country.

But what if all that social influence is really just a government psyop to keep Donald Trump from returning to office? HUH?

That's what Fox News' Jesse Watters suggested while playing heavily edited video of Johns Hopkins' Alicia Marie Bargar‘s presentation on applied social engineering at CyCon in 2019.

That video has somehow snowballed into a conspiracy theory rolling downhill, picking up conservative influencers as it goes!

People are saying that the Super Bowl is totally rigged for the Chiefs. Taylor Swift‘s dating Travis Kelce is all a government show, so that she can publicly endorse Joe Biden during the half-time show.

Even Vivek Ramaswamy has jumped in on the Taylor Swift is a government psyop conspiracy:

I can't help but wonder if conservatives are going bat-guano crazy ...

At least, that's what I thought ... until Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh made an official statement to Politico!!!

Taylor Swift is not part of a DOD psychological operation. Period.

Oh my gosh! That's exactly what someone running a psyop would say!

I don't actually believe Taylor Swift is a government asset, though the Biden campaign is certainly latching on to her popularity and her past endorsement for the election.

However, the controversy has definitely proven other right-wing talking points. In researching the ridiculous idea, Politico interviewed several deep state officials. Here are some of their comments:

  • The absurdity of it all boggles the mind. It feels like one of those 'tell me you are a MAGA conspiracy theorist, without telling me you are a MAGA conspiracy theorist' memes.
  • Is this Team Trump's new Comet Ping-Pong pizzagate?

Clearly, unelected federal officials in Washington do not like Donald Trump or the 50% of the country that support him, and they do not want him returning to lead the nation. There's not even a hint of political ambiguity in those statements.

On another note, I've watched the whole video from that CyCon presentation that Watters started this nonsense with, and it has nothing to do with Taylor Swift being floated as a psyop for the feds.

It seems much more nefarious than that.

Bargas pretty much lays out the science Johns Hopkins was developing at the time for a social-network psyop, which sounds very similar to the one we all experienced starting in 2020, vaccine misinformation squelching and all.

You can watch it below if you're into that sort of thing:

That's crazy stuff, especially when you consider this conference was in 2019, the same year that Johns Hopkins also hosted Event 201, which laid out plans for a global pandemic scenario in partnership with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Economic Forum.

Now that's a proper conspiracy theory!!!
