Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin to resume abortion after judge rules 1849 state law does not apply to voluntary abortion

Can someone please explain to me how this law doesn't apply to voluntary abortion?

"Any person, other than the mother, who intentionally destroys the life of an unborn child is guilty of a Class H felony."

Pretty sure that includes "doctors" who kill your baby for you.

Yet, back in July, a judge in Madison (of course) ruled that this law doesn't apply to voluntary abortion.

This July, Dane County Circuit Court Judge Diane Schlipper ruled against the motion to dismiss from defendants.

In her ruling, Schlipper wrote that she found the 1849 law only applies to "feticide," which was defined as an "act or instance of killing a fetus, usually by assaulting and battering."

"This pre-Roe statute says nothing about abortion - there is no such thing as an '1849 Abortion Ban' in Wisconsin," Schlipper's ruling stated.

I'm sorry, but it literally uses the term "therapeutic abortion" right there in the text, allowing abortion to take place only if the mother's life is at risk.

But now Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin will resume the baby killing.

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin says they will resume abortion care services next week after a judge ruled a state law from 1849 did not apply to abortion procedures.

On September 18, Planned Parenthood's Water Street Health Center in Milwaukee and Madison East Health Center in Madison will again offer abortion care, Tanya Atkinson, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, said.

Here's how excited Planned Parenthood is to get back to the murdering:

No need to worry about taking this to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, however. The bench flipped liberal last year after voters, focused mostly on abortion I might add, decided to go with the pro-baby-murder candidate.

Great job, Wisconsin! You're now back to murdering babies despite a law which clearly prohibits it!
