Polls show black and Hispanic voters trending Republican as Democrats continue being Democrats

Oh look.

Oh my goodness, how could this have happened?

It's not like our country has become a global embarrassment or anything like that. It's not like we've gotten ourselves involved in two huge wars since the Democrats have taken over. It's not like our country is being invaded by illegals and the only thing our leaders are doing about it is cutting down razor wire in Texas to make sure more illegals get in so they can make their way to big cities where they steal resources from our most vulnerable.

So then why are blacks and Hispanics shying away from the Democratic Party?

It's a mystery.

Democrats' longtime advantage over Republicans among two core constituencies — blacks and Hispanics — has eroded in recent months, according to new polling data out Wednesday.

Last year, 66% of black adults identified as Democrats or Democrat leaners while 19% said they were Republicans or Republican leaners, per the Gallup survey.

The 47-percentage-point spread is the lowest in at least 25 years — and down 19 percentage points from 2020, when 77% of black adults identified as Democrats and just 19% identified as Republicans.

A similar trend can be seen among Hispanics, with 47% calling themselves Democrats and 35% identifying as Republican.

That 12-point difference is a stark decline from 2021, when 57% of Hispanics identified as Democrat and 26% said they were Republican, a difference of 31 percentage points.

Wow, quite a swing there. I just can't quite put my finger on why this is happening.

And are we sure those black voters who are trending Republican are actually black?

I mean, Captain Underpants in the Oval tells us otherwise and he's smart, right?
