President Donald Trump is nothing if not willing to help out in any way he can, as evidenced by the valuable bit of marriage advice he gave to French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, after cameras caught the couple in what appeared to be a nasty exchange this week. Here's a reminder:
Thankfully for the Macrons, President Trump offered up a bit of free counseling while speaking with reporters on Friday.
Here's more on the story from the Daily Mail:
Trump, who has been married three times, quipped in response: 'Make sure the door remains closed.'
'That was not good,' earning guffaws in the Oval Office, where he was holding a send-off press conference for DOGE head Elon Musk.
President Trump went on to reveal that he spoke with Macron after the incident.
'I spoke to him,' Trump said of Macron.
'He's fine. They're fine. They're two really good people. I know him very well, and I don't know what that was all about,' Trump said, choosing his words carefully. 'But I know him very well, and they're fine.'
So, let this be a lesson to all the couples out there:

"Make sure the door remains closed." — Donald J. Trump
