President Trump pardons Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht ๐Ÿ’ช

Promises made, promises kept.

Even when the libertarians didn't want to win.

President Trump pardoned Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, which was a free-market website that was hijacked by criminals.

Ulbricht was essentially held liable for all sorts of crimes committed on his platform.

(Because, Lord knows, no crimes happen on places like Instagram and Facebook Marketplace.)

If you're unfamiliar with the case, The Babylon Bee interviewed Ulbricht's mother a few years back about what happened and why his prison sentence was unjust ๐Ÿ‘‡

Trump freed Ulbricht despite the fact that libertarians booed him when he tried to talk with them at their national convention last year:

Trump not only freed Ross Ulbricht, but issued a total pardon for the free market entrepreneur.

From CNN:

Ulbricht, who was accused of creating the shadowy e-commerce site the Justice Department had described as "the most sophisticated and extensive criminal marketplace on the Internet today," had been serving a life sentence on charges related to the operation.

'I just called the mother of Ross William Ulbricht to let her know that in honor of her and the Libertarian Movement, which supported me so strongly, it was my pleasure to have just signed a full and unconditional pardon of her son, Ross,' Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

I don't know how true it is that the boo-birds at the libertarian convention "strongly" supported Trump, but he no doubt did the right thing and made good on his deal.

Ross has finally been freed after years-long persecution from the feds.

The wins won't stop.
