Look, I get that what's happening in Ukraine is a serious thing that's costing people their lives, but can we separate out the Ukrainian people from media-and-elite darling President Zelensky for a moment?
The guy is an actor – one who rose to fame by pretending to play the piano with his tinkler for a TV talent show.
And I won't even show you the time he did a music video with other men dressed in skin-tight leather and eye shadow.
Since the war started, Zelensky has been the public face of the war. He's made the rounds to appeal for money from world leaders – many of whom like Joe Biden have family members with personal stakes in Ukraine – and he's raked in the dough.
At the same time, Hollywood has been fawning over him, with actors like Ben Stiller making visits.
Something about it all feels... off.
Am I the only one who thinks so?
How about this new photo shoot with Vogue?
Here's the article that went with the shoot:
It all feels so forced and faked.
I have to give Zelensky credit: He won the information war against Russia big time. The man knows how to market and brand.
But the fact that he is so good at propaganda, combined with the fact that all the leaders who played Covid theater are now playing a new game of theater with him, is super sus.
People call Zelensky Ukraine's George Washington, but I don't remember Washington dropping his trousers to play the piano.
I have a hunch that he's something else.
