Bee Prophecy Fulfilled! Study shows people who consider themselves attractive were more likely to ditch masks earlier
· Jan 5, 2023 · NottheBee.com

You know we here at Not the Bee LOVE it (and also kind of hate it) when The Babylon Bee collides headfirst with reality.

This fulfilled prophecy of The Bee probably comes from the fact that the writers over there have functional eyes and brains.

Here's the Babylon Bee story from April 2021:

By April of '21, everyone knew (for the most part) that the masks were absolutely pointless and that we needed to stop kidding ourselves.

So who would still be clinging on to their face diapers?

The ugly people! That's who!

That was the joke.

But, as is too often the case with Babylon Bee headlines, it was actually pretty much true.

This study is out of Korea, and I am not an academic so I can only see the title and abstract. But those tell you all you need to know.

This is the title translated to English:

Here's the conclusion of the abstract, basically the final summation of the study:

Overall, we provide a novel finding that self-perceived attractiveness has significant effects on mask-wearing intention via mask attractiveness belief in the post-pandemic of COVID-19. Our findings suggest that mask-wearing can shift from being a self-protection measure during the COVID-19 pandemic to a self-presentation tactic in the post-pandemic era.

So, if you're still religiously wearing a mask today, well... you know.
